Scholarship Information

Deerfield Parks & Recreation is committed to providing equitable access to recreation services for all residents. Scholarship assistance is available for eligible youth and senior participants through coordinated partnerships with the Deerfield School District and the Age Friendly Deerfield Commission.

Youth Scholarship Process

Scholarship eligibility for youth programs—including After School Clubhouse, Summer Camp, Youth Sports, and other recreation offerings—is determined in collaboration with the Deerfield Community School.

Application Procedure:
Parents or guardians should contact their child’s school guidance counselor to inquire about scholarship eligibility. If the student qualifies, the school will provide Deerfield Parks & Recreation with a letter of recommendation confirming eligibility. Upon receipt, the department will follow up with families regarding available scholarship support.

Senior Scholarship Process

Scholarship opportunities for senior programs, such as Silver Yoga and additional age-friendly offerings, are administered in partnership with the Age Friendly Deerfield Commission.

Application Procedure:
Seniors should contact Age Friendly Deerfield at AgeFriendlyDeerfield@gmail.com to determine eligibility. The Commission will review the request and coordinate directly with the department as needed.

Additional Information

Deerfield Parks & Recreation strives to ensure fair access to programs and services. Residents with questions regarding scholarship availability or program eligibility are encouraged to contact the department for further assistance.
